The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited, on the day of Khaybar, the meat of every fanged beast of prey, every taloned bird, the meat of domestic donkeys, the mujaththamah, the khalisah, and intercourse with pregnant captive women until they give birth to what is in their wombs.Muhammad bin Yahya al-Qatai said that Abu Asim was asked about the mujaththamah, and he replied, "It is when a bird or some other creature is set up as a target and shot at."He was also asked about the khalisah, and he said, "It is an animal seized by a wolf or beast of prey, which a man catches up to and takes from it, but it dies in his hand before he can slaughter it properly."
[Its isnad is daif]. Ahmad narrated it (4/127) from Abu Asim with the same wording. Umm Habiba bint Arbad, I could not find anyone who confirmed her reliability. The hadith will come again at no. 1564, and it is a hasan hadith. This hadith has many corroborating narrations, apart from the matter of prey seized by a predator, see no. 1131 and others.
