The Prophet ﷺ made an agreement with the people of Khaybar that they would receive half of whatever the land produced in fruit or crops.
حدثنا إسحق بن منصور أخبرنا يحيى بن سعيد عن عبيد الله عن نافع
أن النبي ﷺ عامل أهل خيبر بشطر ما يخرج منها من ثمر أو زرع
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Abu Bakr bin Ayyash is daif. Nasai narrated it (7/35, no. 3899) [chapter on Muzaraah (sharecropping), mentioning the various hadiths on the prohibition of renting land for a third or a quarter, etc.) from the hadith of Abu Husayn, with a different wording, and its chain is sahih. Mujahid heard it from Usayd, see Nasai, no. 3895, and elsewhere. Muslim also narrated it, no. 1547, from the hadith of Rafi, with the same wording.
