The Prophet ﷺ ruled that a case may be decided on the basis of an oath together with a single witness.

[Its chain of transmission is sahih and meets the criteria of Muslim. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Judgments, chapter on ruling based on a witness and an oath, hadith no. 2369, from Muhammad bin Bashshar with the same wording.
