When I was menstruating, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would order me to wrap a waist-cloth around myself, then he would be intimate with me.

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Menstruation, chapter on touching a menstruating woman, no. 300, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Menstruation, chapter 1, no. 293, from the hadith of Mansur, through the same chain.There is also a narration on this subject from Umm Salama [Bukhari, no. 298, and Muslim, no. 296] and from Maymuna [Bukhari, no. 303, and Muslim, no. 294].
