The Messenger of Allah ﷺ borrowed a young camel, and later some camels arrived as charity. Abu Rafi said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me to repay the man his young camel. I said, 'I cannot find among the camels anything but a fine seven-year-old camel.'"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give it to him, for the best of people are those who repay their debts in the best manner."
Muslim also narrated it in "The Book of Sharecropping," in the chapter on the permissibility of borrowing an animal and the recommendation of repaying it with something better than what was owed, hadith no. 1600, from the hadith of Malik through this route, and it is in Muwatta 2/680.
