The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever grants a debtor in difficulty more time, or forgives the debt entirely, Allah will shade him beneath the shade of His Throne on the Day of Resurrection, the day when there is no shade except His."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا إسحق بن سليمان الرازي عن داود بن قيس عن زيد بن أسلم عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ من أنظر معسرا أو وضع له أظله الله يوم القيامة تحت ظل عرشه يوم لا ظل إلا ظله
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Ahmad narrated it (2/359) from Ishaq bin Sulayman through this route, and the hadith has very many corroborating narrations.There are also narrations on this topic from Abu Yusr [Muslim, no. 3006, within a long hadith], Abu Qatada [Muslim, no. 1563], Huzaifa [Bukhari, no. 2391, and Muslim, no. 1560], Abu Masud [to come, no. 1307], Ubada [I did not find it], and Jabir, perhaps referring to the hadith in Muslim, no. 3006.
