The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade muzabanah sales, which is the sale of fresh dates on the tree for dried dates, except for the owners of araya, for whom he granted permission. He also forbade the sale of fresh grapes for raisins (Zabib), and the sale of any fruit by estimation.

أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن بيع المزابنة الثمر بالتمر إلا لأصحاب العرايا فإنه قد أذن لهم وعن بيع العنب بالزبيب وعن كل ثمر بخرصه
Agreed upon by Bukhari and Muslim. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Sales, chapter on the prohibition of selling fresh dates for dried dates except in the case of araya, hadith no. 1540, from Hasan bin Ali, and Bukhari, hadith nos. 2383 and 2384, from the hadith of Abu Usama with the same wording.
