The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession permitting the sale of araya by estimating their measure.
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن أيوب عن نافع عن ابن عمر
أن رسول الله ﷺ أرخص في بيع العرايا بخرصها
Its authenticity is agreed upon. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Business Transactions, chapter on selling raisins and food for food, with the same wording. H: 2172, 2173, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, and Muslim, H: 1539, from the hadith of Nafi.
