I used to throw stones at the date palms of the Ansar, so they caught me and took me to the Prophet ﷺ.He asked, "Rafi, why do you throw stones at their palms?"I replied, "Messenger of Allah, hunger."He said, "Do not throw stones. Eat what falls. May Allah fill you and quench your thirst."This is a hasan, gharib, sahih hadith.

[Its chain is daif]. Bayhaqi narrated it (12/10) from the hadith of Fadl bin Musa with the same wording, as did Abu Dawud (no. 2622) and Ibn Majah (no. 2299), and others. Abu Jubayr was not deemed reliable by anyone besides Tirmidhi, and it has a daif corroborating witness.
