The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was cupped, and Abu Taybah performed the cupping. He ordered that Abu Taybah be given two saa of food, and he spoke to his masters so that they reduced what he owed them in tax. He said, "The best treatment you can use is cupping," or, "Among the most effective remedies you have is cupping."
حدثنا علي بن حجر أخبرنا إسمعيل بن جعفر عن حميد قال سئل أنس عن كسب الحجام
احتجم رسول الله ﷺ وحجمه أبو طيبة فأمر له بصاعين من طعام وكلم أهله فوضعوا عنه من خراجه وقال إن أفضل ما تداويتم به الحجامة أو إن من أمثل دوائكم الحجامة
GradingMuslim also recorded it in al-Musaqah, the chapter on the permissibility of the wage for cupping, hadith no. 1577, from Ali bin Hajar, and Bukhari, hadith no. 5696, from the narration of Humayd al-Tawil, with the same wording.There are also narrations on this subject from Ali [Tirmidhi in al-Shamail, hadith no. 360], Ibn Abbas [Bukhari, hadith no. 5699, Muslim, hadith no. 1202, and Tirmidhi in al-Shamail, hadith no. 361], and Ibn Umar [Tirmidhi in al-Shamail, hadith no. 362].
