A man from the Kilab tribe asked the Prophet ﷺ about the fee charged for the stud's service, and he forbade it.The man said, "Messenger of Allah, we lend out our stallion for breeding and are given a gift in return."So he permitted him to accept the gift.
حدثنا عبدة بن عبد الله الخزاعي البصري حدثنا يحيى بن آدم عن إبراهيم بن حميد الرؤاسي عن هشام بن عروة عن محمد بن إبراهيم التيمي
أن رجلا من كلاب سأل النبي ﷺ عن عسب الفحل فنهاه فقال يا رسول الله إنا نطرق الفحل فنكرم فرخص له في الكرامة
[Sahih]. Nasai also recorded it (3/310, no. 4676) (Sales, chapter on selling the stud service of a camel) through the hadith of Yahya bin Adam, and the hadith has supporting narrations.
