On the day of Khaybar I bought a necklace for twelve dinars. It contained gold and beads, so I separated them and found in it more than twelve dinars' worth. I mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "It is not to be sold until the parts are separated."Qutayba narrated to us, Ibn Mubarak narrated to us, from Abu Shuja Saeed bin Yazid, with this chain of transmission, something similar.
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا الليث عن أبي شجاع سعيد بن يزيد عن خالد بن أبي عمران عن حنش الصنعاني
اشتريت يوم خيبر قلادة باثني عشر دينارا فيها ذهب وخرز ففصلتها فوجدت فيها أكثر من اثني عشر دينارا فذكرت ذلك للنبي ﷺ فقال لا تباع حتى تفصل حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا ابن المبارك عن أبي شجاع سعيد بن يزيد بهذا الإسناد نحوه
