He sold a camel to the Prophet ﷺ and stipulated that he could ride it back to his family.

Its authenticity has been agreed upon. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Musaqah, in the chapter on selling a camel while stipulating an exception for riding it, hadith 715 after hadith 1599, from the hadith of Zakariya. Bukhari narrated it, hadith 2967, from the hadith of Shaybi, both in longer and shorter forms.
