نهاني رسول الله ﷺ أن أبيع ما ليس عندي
Sourcing, its chain of transmission is sahih. Ahmad narrated it in 3/402 from the hadith of Ayub Sakhtiyani with the same wording, see the previous hadith.There is also a report on this topic from Abdullah bin Umar, though the correct name is Abdullah bin Amr, as in Tuhfat Ahwazi, 12/23, and the Indian edition, and his hadith comes after this one, 1234.
