The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A town-dweller must not sell on behalf of a desert-dweller. Leave people alone, for Allah provides for some of them through others."
حدثنا نصر بن علي وأحمد بن منيع قالا حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أبي الزبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يبيع حاضر لباد دعوا الناس يرزق الله بعضهم من بعض
Muslim also recorded it in the Book of Sales, in the chapter on the prohibition of the town dweller selling on behalf of the desert dweller, hadith no. 1522, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, through the same chain.
