He traced it back to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "A woman must not ask for the divorce of her sister so as to empty what is in her vessel."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
يبلغ به النبي ﷺ قال لا تسأل المرأة طلاق أختها لتكفئ ما في إنائها
Its authenticity is agreed upon. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Sales, chapter on the prohibition of a townsman selling on behalf of a nomad, hadith no. 1520, and Bukhari, hadith no. 2140, both from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this wording.There is also a narration on this subject from Umm Salama [Tabarani in Al-Kabir, 23/25, hadith no. 517].
