I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have divorced my wife absolutely."He asked, "What did you intend by it?"I replied, "One divorce."He asked, "By Allah?"I said, "By Allah."He said, "Then it is as you intended."

Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud, "Divorce," chapter on al-battah (irrevocable divorce), no. 2208, and Ibn Majah, no. 2051, also narrated it from the hadith of Jareer bin Hazim, through the same chain. Zubayr bin Saeed is lenient in hadith (Taqrib, 1995), and the hadith of Abu Dawud (2206, 2207) suffices in its place.
