She is entitled to a dowry equal to that of women like her, neither less nor more, she must observe the waiting period, and she has the right of inheritance.Then Maqil bin Sinan al-Ashjai stood up and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave the same ruling regarding Birwa bint Washiq, a woman from our tribe, as the one you have given."Ibn Masud rejoiced at this.

لها مثل صداق نسائها لا وكس ولا شطط وعليها العدة ولها الميراث فقام معقل بن سنان الأشجعي فقال قضى رسول الله ﷺ في بروع بنت واشق امرأة منا مثل الذي قضيت ففرح بها ابن مسعود
[Sahih]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Marriage, chapter "Regarding One Who Marries and Does Not Specify a Dower Until He Dies," no. 2115, and Ibn Majah, no. 1891 (as a suspended narration), from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri with this wording. Bayhaqi graded it sahih, 7/245. The hadith has corroborating narrations, including one from Nasai, no. 3360. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1263, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of Muslim, 2/180, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
