The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no jalab, no janab, and no shighar in Islam, and whoever seizes plunder is not one of us."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الملك بن أبي الشوارب حدثنا بشر بن المفضل حدثنا حميد وهو الطويل قال حدث الحسن
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا جلب ولا جنب ولا شغار في الإسلام ومن انتهب نهبة فليس منا
[Sahih]. Abu Dawud transmitted it in jihad, chapter on urging horses on in racing, hadith 281, and Ibn Majah, hadith 3937, and others, from the hadith of Bishr bin Mufaddal with this wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith 1502-1504, as did the author, hadith 1448, and others. It has corroborating narrations in Abu Dawud, hadith 4391, 4392, and others.On this subject there are also narrations from Anas [Ibn Majah, hadith 1885, and Ibn Hibban, hadith 1269], Abu Rayhanah [Ibn Adi in Kamil, 2/799], Ibn Umar [coming up, 1124], Jabir [Muslim, hadith 1417], Muawiya [Abu Dawud, hadith 2075], Abu Hurairah [Muslim, hadith 1416], and Waail bin Hajar [Bazzar (Kashf), 2/166, hadith 1440].
