I learned Surah Qaf, "By the glorious Quran" [Qaf 50:1], only from listening behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for he used to recite it in the dawn prayer.
أخبرنا عمران بن يزيد قال حدثنا ابن أبي الرجال عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عمرة
ما أخذت ق والقرآن المجيد إلا من وراء رسول الله ﷺ كان يصلي بها في الصبح
This is hasan. It is in Kubra, no. 1021, and the following hadith serves as a corroborating witness for it. Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Rijal Ansari is hasan al-hadith, and the majority of scholars deemed him trustworthy. He was alone in saying "in Fajr," while it is established as sahih that this took place during the Friday sermon, as will come later, no. 1412. So perhaps he erred, or it is established that the recitation occurred both on Friday and at Fajr, and this latter view is the more likely one. And Allah knows best.
