The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes from sleep and performs ablution, let him blow his nose three times, for Satan spends the night in the upper part of his nose."
أخبرنا محمد بن زنبور المكي قال حدثنا ابن أبي حازم عن يزيد بن عبد الله أن محمد بن إبراهيم حدثه عن عيسى بن طلحة
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا استيقظ أحدكم من منامه فتوضأ فليستنثر ثلاث مرات فإن الشيطان يبيت على خيشومه
Agreed upon. Bukhari included it in the Book of the Beginning of Creation, chapter on the description of Iblis and his forces, hadith (3295), from the hadith of Ibn Abu Hazim. And Muslim included it in the Book of Purification, chapter on using an odd number in cleansing with pebbles and washing with water after relieving oneself, hadith (238), from the hadith of Yazid bin Abdullah, with the same wording. It is also found in Kubra.
