Abu Hurairah came to the mosque of Banu Zurayq and said, "There are three things the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do which people have abandoned. He used to raise his hands in prayer, extending them, pause for a brief moment in silence, and say takbir when he prostrated and when he rose."
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on those who did not mention raising the hands at the ruku, hadith no. 753, from the hadith of Yahya Qattan through this chain. It is also in Sunan al-Kubra, hadith no. 957. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, as did Hakim (1/234), and Dhahabi.
