I asked Ali bin Abu Talib about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the day before the obligatory prayer.He replied, "Who can manage that?"Then he informed us, saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray two units when the sun began to decline, and before midday he would pray four units, giving the salutation only at the end."
