I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever performs ablution thoroughly for prayer, then walks to the obligatory prayer and prays it with the people, or with the congregation, or in the mosque, Allah will forgive him his sins."
أخبرنا سليمان بن داود عن ابن وهب قال أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث أن الحكيم بن عبد الله القرشي حدثه أن نافع بن جبير وعبد الله بن أبي سلمة حدثاه أن معاذ بن عبد الرحمن حدثهما عن حمران مولى عثمان بن عفان
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من توضأ للصلاة فأسبغ الوضوء ثم مشى إلى الصلاة المكتوبة فصلاها مع الناس أو مع الجماعة أو في المسجد غفر الله له ذنوبه
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter on the merit of wudu and prayer following it, hadith 13/332, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, with this chain. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith 929. Bukhari narrated it, hadith 6433, from the hadith of Muaz bin Abdul-Rahman, with this chain.
