We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Hunayn when rain fell upon us, so the announcer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, "Pray in your dwellings."

كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ بحنين فأصابنا مطر فنادى منادي رسول الله ﷺ أن صلوا في رحالكم

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on Friday prayer on a rainy day, hadith 1057, from the hadith of Qatada with this chain, and Khalid Haddan corroborated him. It is also found in Kubra, hadith 927. Ibn Majah also narrated it, hadith 936, and it was graded sahih by Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban, Hakim (1/293), Dhahabi, and others.
