The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. She said, the Prophet ﷺ was in front of Abu Bakr and prayed sitting, while Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer, and the people were behind Abu Bakr.
أخبرنا محمود بن غيلان قال حدثني أبو داود قال أنبأنا شعبة عن موسى بن أبي عائشة قال سمعت عبيد الله بن عبد الله يحدث
أن رسول الله ﷺ أمر أبا بكر أن يصلي بالناس قالت وكان النبي ﷺ بين يدي أبي بكر فصلى قاعدا وأبو بكر يصلي بالناس والناس خلف أبي بكر
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] It is also found in Kubra, no. 872, and the hadith is agreed upon, Bukhari, no. 687, and Muslim, no. 418, from the hadith of Musa via the same route. See the following hadith (835).
