Abu Mahzura reported,

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Hunayn, I went out as one of ten men from the people of Mecca looking for them. We heard them calling the adhan for prayer, so we stood up and began making the call ourselves, mocking them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have heard among these people the call of someone with a beautiful voice."He sent for us, and we each gave the call one by one, and I was the last of them. When I had finished, he said, "Come here." He seated me in front of him, wiped his hand over my forelock, and blessed me three times. Then he said, "Go and call the adhan at the Sacred House."I asked, "How shall I do it, Messenger of Allah?"So he taught me, just as you all give the adhan now, "Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to prayer, come to prayer. Come to success, come to success." And in the first call for the Fajr prayer, "Prayer is better than sleep."He said, and he taught me the iqamah, each phrase twice, "Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to prayer, come to prayer. Come to success, come to success. The prayer has begun, the prayer has begun. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. There is no god but Allah."Ibn Jurayj said, Uthman informed me of this entire report from his father and from the mother of Abdul-Malik bin Abu Mahzura, both of whom heard it from Abu Mahzura.

أخبرنا إبراهيم بن الحسن قال حدثنا حجاج عن ابن جريج عن عثمان بن السائب قال أخبرني أبي وأم عبد الملك بن أبي محذورة

عن أبي محذورة قال

لما خرج رسول الله ﷺ من حنين خرجت عاشر عشرة من أهل مكة نطلبهم فسمعناهم يؤذنون بالصلاة فقمنا نؤذن نستهزئ بهم فقال رسول الله ﷺ قد سمعت في هؤلاء تأذين إنسان حسن الصوت فأرسل إلينا فأذنا رجل رجل وكنت آخرهم فقال حين أذنت تعال فأجلسني بين يديه فمسح على ناصيتي وبرك علي ثلاث مرات ثم قال اذهب فأذن عند البيت الحرام قلت كيف يا رسول الله فعلمني كما تؤذنون الآن بها الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله حي على الصلاة حي على الصلاة حي على الفلاح حي على الفلاح الصلاة خير من النوم في الأولى من الصبح قال وعلمني الإقامة مرتين الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله حي على الصلاة حي على الصلاة حي على الفلاح حي على الفلاح قد قامت الصلاة قد قامت الصلاة الله أكبر الله أكبر لا إله إلا الله قال ابن جريج أخبرني عثمان هذا الخبر كله عن أبيه وعن أم عبد الملك بن أبي محذورة أنهما سمعا ذلك من أبي محذورة
