We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey. We traveled through the night, and as dawn approached, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted and slept, and the people slept too. None of us woke until the sun had already risen upon us.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered the muezzin to call the adhan. He prayed the two rakahs before Fajr, then ordered him to call the iqamah, and he led the people in prayer.Afterward, he told us about what would come to pass until the Hour is established.
أخبرنا هناد بن السري عن أبي الأحوص عن عطاء بن السائب
كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في سفر فأسرينا ليلة فلما كان في وجه الصبح نزل رسول الله ﷺ فنام ونام الناس فلم يستيقظ إلا بالشمس قد طلعت علينا فأمر رسول الله ﷺ المؤذن فأذن ثم صلى الركعتين قبل الفجر ثم أمره فأقام فصلى بالناس ثم حدثنا بما هو كائن حتى تقوم الساعة

[hasan] Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir 19/274, no. 601, from the hadith of Abu Ahwas, through him, and it is in al-Kubra, no. 1587, and Haythami graded it hasan in Majma al-Zawaid 3/262, and the hadith has corroborating narrations.
