Abdullah bin Umar reported,

I saw a man come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a cup containing nabidh while he was near the Corner. The man handed him the cup, and he raised it to his mouth, but found it strong, so he returned it to its owner.A man from the people asked, "Messenger of Allah, is it forbidden?"He said, "Bring the man to me." The man was brought, and he took the cup from him, then called for water and poured it into the cup. He raised it to his mouth and frowned. Then he called for more water and poured it in as well. Then he said, "When these vessels become too strong for you, break their intensity with water."
