Its isnad is sahih, mawquf. It is in Kubra, hadith no. 5173.In all the manuscripts it reads "Waail ibn Bakr," but the correct reading is "Waail Abu Bakr," who is the son of Dawud, as stated in Tuhfat Ashraf and Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan by Ibn Kathir, 14/660.
