The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The fornicator does not commit fornication while he is a believer, the drinker of wine does not drink it while he is a believer, the thief does not steal while he is a believer, and no one seizes plunder that makes people raise their eyes toward him while he is a believer."
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Injustices, Chapter on Plundering Without the Owner's Permission, hadith 2475, and Muslim also transmitted it, hadith 57 of the Book of Faith, Chapter on the Decrease of Faith Through Sins and the Denial of Faith from One Engaged in Sin, the hadith of Layth bin Saad, through the same chain, and it is also found in Kubra, hadith 5169.
