When the delegation of Abdul-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he forbade them from using the gourd, the hollowed stump, the pitch-coated vessel, and the leather skin with its top cut off. He said, "Make your nabidh in your waterskin, fasten it shut, and drink it while it is still sweet."One of them said, "Messenger of Allah, will you permit me to drink as much as this?"He replied, "If you do, you will end up making it like this," and he gestured with his hand to illustrate.

نهى رسول الله ﷺ وفد عبد القيس حين قدموا عليه عن الدباء وعن النقير وعن المزفت والمزادة المجبوبة وقال انتبذ في سقائك أوكه واشربه حلوا قال بعضهم ائذن لي يا رسول الله في مثل هذا قال إذا تجعلها مثل هذه وأشار بيده يصف ذلك
