The Prophet ﷺ said, "Every intoxicant is forbidden, and every intoxicant is khamr."
أخبرنا سويد بن نصر قال أخبرنا عبد الله عن حماد بن زيد قال حدثنا أيوب عن نافع
عن النبي ﷺ قال كل مسكر حرام وكل مسكر خمر
Muslim recorded it in the Book of Drinks, Chapter on the explanation that every intoxicant is wine and every wine is forbidden, hadith no. 2003, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, transmitted in the same manner. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 5092.
