The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek refuge in Allah from a bad neighbor in your permanent home, for the neighbor of the desert moves away from you."
أخبرنا عمرو بن علي قال حدثنا يحيى قال حدثنا محمد بن عجلان عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المقبري
قال رسول الله ﷺ تعوذوا بالله من جار السوء في دار المقام فإن جار البادية يتحول عنك
[hasan] Bukhari narrated it in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 117, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ajlan on this same basis, and Abdul-Rahman bin Ishaq Madani corroborated him, as found in Ahmad, 2/346, and it is also in Kubra, no. 7939.
