Umar used to teach us five supplications that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite. He would say, "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from miserliness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice, I seek refuge in You from being returned to the most feeble stage of old age, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave."
أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا خالد عن شعبة عن عبد الملك بن عمير قال سمعت
كان يعلمنا خمسا كان رسول الله ﷺ يدعو بهن ويقول اللهم إني أعوذ بك من البخل وأعوذ بك من الجبن وأعوذ بك من أن أرد إلى أرذل العمر وأعوذ بك من عذاب القبر
