Ibn Maymun reported from Umar that the Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge from cowardice, miserliness, the temptation of the heart, and the punishment of the grave.
[Hasan] Abu Dawud reported it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on Seeking Refuge, hadith no. 1539, from the hadith of Israil, with this wording. It is also found in Sunan al-Kubra, hadith no. 7879. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith no. 2445, and Hakim graded it as meeting the standard of the two Shaykhs, 1/530, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It has a sahih corroborating witness in Ibn Khuzayma, hadith no. 746, and elsewhere.
