The Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge from four things, from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not feel awe, from a supplication that is not heard, and from a soul that is never satisfied.
أخبرنا يزيد بن سنان قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن قال أنبأنا سفيان عن أبي سنان عن عبد الله بن أبي الهذيل
أن النبي ﷺ كان يتعوذ من أربع من علم لا ينفع ومن قلب لا يخشع ودعاء لا يسمع ونفس لا تشبع
Hasan. Ahmad reported it, 2/167, from Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi, through him. It has a flaw noted in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba, 10/194, 195. It has a hasan corroborating narration, see hadith no. 54690.Sufyan is Thawri, and Abu Sinan is Darrar bin Mura Shaybani, the Kufan.
