The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among those who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection are the makers of images." Ahmad's wording was "the image-makers."
أخبرنا أحمد بن حرب قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن مسلم ح وأنبأنا محمد بن يحيى بن محمد قال حدثنا محمد بن الصباح قال حدثنا إسمعيل بن زكريا قال حدثنا حصين بن عبد الرحمن عن مسلم بن صبيح عن مسروق
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن من أشد الناس عذابا يوم القيامة المصورون وقال أحمد المصورين
Muslim reported it, no. 98/2109, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya al-Darir (see the earlier hadith, no. 5363), and Bukhari, Book of Dress, Chapter on the punishment of image-makers on the Day of Resurrection, no. 5950, from the hadith of Amash, with the same wording.
