The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wrapping oneself in the Samma manner and sitting with the knees drawn up in a single garment.
حدثنا قتيبة قال حدثنا الليث عن أبي الزبير
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن اشتمال الصماء وأن يحتبي في ثوب واحد
Muslim included it in the Book of Clothing, the chapter on the prohibition of wrapping oneself in a single garment (ishtimal al-sammaa) and sitting with the knees drawn up wrapped in a single garment (ihtibaa), etc., hadith no. 72/2099, from Qutayba, with this chain.
