The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wrapping oneself in the Samma manner, and forbade a man from sitting with his knees drawn up in a single garment with nothing covering his private parts.
أخبرنا الحسين بن حريث قال أنبأنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عطاء بن يزيد
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن اشتمال الصماء وأن يحتبي الرجل في ثوب واحد ليس على فرجه منه شيء
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Seeking Permission, chapter titled "Sitting in Whatever Manner is Convenient," hadith no. 6284, from the hadith of Sufyan Ibn Uyayna, with the same chain.
