The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a ring made of gold and wore it with the stone facing the inside of his palm. The people then began making rings for themselves. So the Prophet ﷺ cast it aside and said, "I will never wear it again."
أخبرنا إسمعيل بن مسعود قال حدثنا خالد عن عبيد الله عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ اتخذ خاتما من ذهب وجعل فصه مما يلي كفه فاتخذ الناس خواتيم فطرحه النبي ﷺ وقال لا ألبسه أبدا
