The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing gold except in small pieces, and he forbade riding on silk saddle cushions.
أخبرنا محمد بن بشار قال حدثنا عبد الوهاب قال حدثنا خالد عن ميمون عن أبي قلابة
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن لبس الذهب إلا مقطعا وعن ركوب المياثر
[sahih] It is also in Kubra, no. 9452. Maymun al-Qannad was not deemed reliable by anyone except Ibn Hibban, Ahmad did not know him, and Bukhari criticized him, but the hadith has corroborating narrations.
