Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Asr prayer while the sun was still shining into her chamber, the shadow not yet having risen above it.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا الليث عن ابن شهاب عن عروة
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى صلاة العصر والشمس في حجرتها لم يظهر الفيء من حجرتها
Bukhari transmitted it in "Times of Prayer," in the chapter on the time of Asr, hadith no. 545, from Qutayba, and Muslim transmitted it in "Mosques," in the chapter on the times of the five prayers, hadith no. 611, through the hadith of Ibn Shihab, with the same wording. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 1494.
