A woman used to borrow jewelry from people and then keep it for herself. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let this woman repent to Allah and His Messenger and return what she has taken from the people."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Get up, Bilal, take her hand and cut it off."
أخبرنا عثمان بن عبد الله قال حدثني الحسن بن حماد قال حدثنا عمرو بن هاشم الجنبي أبو مالك عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
أن امرأة كانت تستعير الحلي للناس ثم تمسكه فقال رسول الله ﷺ لتتب هذه المرأة إلى الله ورسوله وترد ما تأخذ على القوم ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ قم يا بلال فخذ بيدها فاقطعها

[Sahih] Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir, 12/366, no. 13360, from the hadith of Hasan ibn Hammad Sajjadah, with this same chain. It is also in Al-Kubra, no. 7376. Its chain of transmission is hasan, Amr bin Hashim being a narrator whose hadith is hasan.
