The Messenger of Allah ﷺ detained a man on suspicion, then released him.
أخبرنا علي بن سعيد بن مسروق قال حدثنا عبد الله بن المبارك عن معمر
أن رسول الله ﷺ حبس رجلا في تهمة ثم خلى سبيله
[Its isnad is hasan] Tirmidhi transmitted it in al-Diyat, Bab ma jaa fi al-habs fi al-tuhmah, no. 1417, from Ali bin Saeed, with this wording, and he said, "Hasan." It is also in al-Kubra, no. 7362.
