The letter that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to Amr bin Hazm concerning blood-money payments stated, "For a life, the compensation is one hundred camels. For a nose completely severed, one hundred camels. For a wound that reaches the brain, one third of the full blood-money. For a wound that penetrates the body cavity, the same.
