A group from the tribe of Thalaba came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon. A man said, "Messenger of Allah, these are the sons of Thalaba bin Yarbu. They killed so-and-so, a man from among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No soul bears the crime of another."
أخبرنا أحمد بن سليمان قال حدثنا معاوية بن هشام عن سفيان عن أشعث بن أبي الشعثاء عن الأسود بن هلال
انتهى قوم من بني ثعلبة إلى النبي ﷺ وهو يخطب فقال رجل يا رسول الله هؤلاء بنو ثعلبة بن يربوع قتلوا فلانا رجلا من أصحاب النبي ﷺ فقال النبي ﷺ لا تجني نفس على أخرى
