Abu Hurairah reported,

We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque, and whenever he stood up, we would stand with him. One day he stood and we stood with him, and when he reached the middle of the mosque, a man caught up with him and yanked him by his cloak from behind. His cloak was made of coarse fabric, and it left a red mark on his neck.The man said, "Muhammad, load up these two camels of mine for me, for you do not give from your own wealth or from your father's wealth."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "No, and I seek Allah's forgiveness. I will not load anything for you until you let me retaliate for what you did to my neck."The Arabi said, "No, by Allah, I will not let you retaliate."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said this three times, and each time the man replied, "No, by Allah, I will not let you retaliate."When we heard the Arabi's words, we rushed toward him, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned to us and said, "I command anyone who hears my words not to move from his place until I give him permission."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to one of the men present, "So-and-so, load barley on one of his camels and dates on the other."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You may now disperse."

أخبرني محمد بن علي بن ميمون قال حدثني القعنبي قال حدثني محمد بن هلال عن أبيه

عن أبي هريرة قال

كنا نقعد مع رسول الله ﷺ في المسجد فإذا قام قمنا فقام يوما وقمنا معه حتى لما بلغ وسط المسجد أدركه رجل فجبذ بردائه من ورائه وكان رداؤه خشنا فحمر رقبته فقال يا محمد احمل لي على بعيري هذين فإنك لا تحمل من مالك ولا من مال أبيك فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا وأستغفر الله لا أحمل لك حتى تقيدني مما جبذت برقبتي فقال الأعرابي لا والله لا أقيدك فقال رسول الله ﷺ ذلك ثلاث مرات كل ذلك يقول لا والله لا أقيدك فلما سمعنا قول الأعرابي أقبلنا إليه سراعا فالتفت إلينا رسول الله ﷺ فقال عزمت على من سمع كلامي أن لا يبرح مقامه حتى آذن له فقال رسول الله ﷺ لرجل من القوم يا فلان احمل له على بعير شعيرا وعلى بعير تمرا ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ انصرفوا
