His father went out on the expedition of Tabuk with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he had hired a laborer. The laborer got into a fight with another man, who bit his forearm. When the bite caused him pain, he yanked his arm away, knocking out the man's front tooth.The matter was brought before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Does one of you deliberately bite his brother the way a stallion bites?" He then declared the tooth to carry no compensation.
أخبرني أبو بكر بن إسحق قال حدثنا أبو الجواب قال حدثنا عمار عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى عن الحكم عن محمد بن مسلم
أن أباه غزا مع رسول الله ﷺ في غزوة تبوك فاستأجر أجيرا فقاتل رجلا فعض الرجل ذراعه فلما أوجعه نترها فأندر ثنيته فرفع ذلك إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يعمد أحدكم فيعض أخاه كما يعض الفحل فأبطل ثنيته
