I took part in the Campaign of Hardship with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and it was the deed I held most firmly in my heart. I had a hired worker who got into a fight with another man. One of them bit the other's finger, and the man pulled his finger out, knocking out the biter's front tooth, which fell to the ground.The man went to the Prophet ﷺ, who declared the lost tooth to be without compensation and said, "Should he leave his hand in your mouth for you to chew on?"
